I absolutely love this. The adorably proud mother and the consistency of the two photographs despite the lapse in time that has obviously occurred. I like that his style remains mostly the same, instead of “growing up” and becoming a “an adult”. Fuck that, just dress how you fucking want. I’m tired of people referring to anything slightly less that socially acceptable as a “phase”. People always ask me, “So when you’re older what will you dress like? I mean, come on, we know you wont always have blue hair, or have dreadlocks, and you probably won’t dress like this.” You know what? I probably will look exactly the same. I won’t feel any pressure from society to dress like an “adult” when I’m older. My dreadlocks, my hair color, the music I listen to, the way I dress, those are all choices of mine. All of those choices make me happy, and they will continue to make me happy in the future. I want to be happy, so I’m going to look how I want, despite whatever age I am.
